Photogram : cameraless silver print resulting in the darkroom. Writing with light makes the device unnecessary in this case: the photogram is in its very principle, a single image, without negative, in which the values of the blacks and whites are reversed. The result is a tension of forces between the lightest white and the deepest black, generated by a materiality (that of the object in contact with the photosensitive support), of which only the trace remains.
The Ariadne’s thread, like an imposed figure in this series of photograms, is the jewel in all its forms. It is used as a pencil or brush playing with light to give shape to a real collection of half-human, half-animal portraits or compositions full of charm and poetry.
It emerges from this particular universe of playful aspects, funny fresh a little naïve but also very poetic and feminine aspects. The style varies: sometimes flamboyant and baroque or on the contrary, minimal and synthetic, the economy of means not taking anything away. It even seems that the characters formed by the jewelry become independent, free to have fun with each other. Let’s follow them on the path of freedom and imagination!
