Care and maintenance
By taking a few precautions for use and maintenance, you will be able to keep your jewelry in good condition for a long time.
Silver jewelry oxidises naturally with air and humidity. Occasional cleaning with a special cloth will keep the silver shiny and remove the oxidation. In order to avoid oxidation, keep you silver jewelry in a closed bag protecting from the air.
Concerning gold or silver plated jewelry and painted jewelry, the patina tends to disappear over time, which is a normal phenomenon resulting from wear.
It is best to avoid wearing your jewelry in the following situations:
-
When washing your hands, in order to prevent soap deposits from slipping into small crevices,
-
When doing activities requiring the use of corrosive products (gardening, cleaning, dishwashing…) in order to avoid damaging the stones,
-
When practicing sports, in order to avoid impacts and scratches.
It is also best to avoid:
-
Exposing jewelry to strong heat: temperature changes can damage precious or semi-precious stones,
-
Putting on perfume and make-up while wearing your jewelry; the chemical ingredients of cosmetics are harmful,
-
A piece of jewelry can easily scratch another. It is recommended that you store each piece individually in its pouch.
Warranties
Each piece of jewelry is subject to legal guarantees in force. However, do not cover these warranties:
-
Damage resulting from accidents or improper use (see care and maintenance),
-
Damage resulting from repairs or dismantling not carried out by the designer,
-
The consequences of normal use and aging of the jewelry.
